On July 2nd, 2011 the world suffered the tremendous loss of three truly amazing spirits in a tragic fire.

Bobbi was a very special woman who touched every person she met.  She was an incredible mother, lover, and hostess to all.  Her passion for life was exceeded only by her compassion for others.  She called herself the “Hospitality Savant” which she embodied though the Bed and Breakfast that she established and ran.  She was deeply devoted to her community and was constantly planning new events and parties that brought people together.  She found joy and purpose in being an ambassador for  the historic jewels of New Ulm, MN.  Bobbi was the most energetic, sporadic, bubbly, giving, and loving person to so many people and causes. The most important thing to her was family. She loved to explore wineries, stay at other B&B’s, music festivals and experiment with new recipes. She had a passion for traveling and would embrace all landmarks along the way. If her last minute plans did not work out, “Oh well!” She was also a gifted writer. She embraced Charlie’s children and family with open arms and a warm heart. Bobbi was the love of Charlie’s life and she will be missed every minute of every day.

Abby was a very special young woman who was genuine in everything she did.  Her independence and strong will carried her throughout her life.  She embraced simple pleasures and took joy in true friendships.  Abby found fulfillment in family, friends, golf, tennis, music, movies, television, games, books, and laughing.  Abby thrived on being a nurturing big sister to her dear “Foo Foo.”  Like her mother, she touched everyone she met and had a sense of humor that was a trait to be cherished.  She had a way of knowing just what to say to make those around her laugh, whether it was a funny quote or something original.  She will be deeply missed by all.

Savannah was a very special child.  She had an infectious smile and was almost as well known in the community as her mother.  She attended Sunday school at United Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with her mother; she was a great egg cracker. She would want ice cream any time of everyday. Nothing made her happier than watching cartoons and snuggling with her family. She had an unmatched sense of humor for a three year old. She loved to play at parks, read books, and sing songs, dance, and dress up as a princess. She was a ray of sunshine with her bright blue eyes and her glowing smile that would light up a room. Savannah will be tremendously missed by everyone.

These three uniquely beautiful souls will be missed by everyone that knew them, especially by their husband, father, and step-father, Charlie Zangl.  Donations in their memory are greatly appreciated.  Proceeds will be going to help Charlie who lost not only his dear family, but his home and possessions as a result of the fire.
